WHO WE ARE

Limestone Scholars is a not-for-profit education outreach program designed to teach best research practices to middle and high school students.

Good judgments require good information. We teach students the research skills they require to effectively gather, understand, and leverage information in the classroom, in the workplace, and beyond.

OUR MISSION

In an era of easily accessible information, Limestone Scholars helps students become conscientious and effective consumers and communicators of information.

Through online resources and workshops, classroom visits, and social media, Limestone Scholars provides students with opportunities to develop important research skills such as identifying accurate, timely, and relevant information, giving appropriate credit to one's sources, and applying newly synthesized information to inform one's decisions and judgments.

We believe that teaching good research practices is a critical step in preparing students for future studies and careers in scientific and non-scientific fields. Outside the classroom and workplace, having strong research skills enable us to thoughtfully engage in scientific discourses.
